Founded as a golf club in 1927, Greenwood Country Club is one of the oldest country clubs in the country, as well as the only true country club in Greenwood, SC. The Club provides its membership a world class, full service golf experience.
The golf course was designed by legendary golf course architect George Cobb. The layout provides a challenging test to golfers of all skill levels. Built in 1950, the 18 hole course, made up of Cedar and Lake nines, plays longer than its 6,800 yards from the back tees. With 6 sets of tees and brand new TifEagle greens, Greenwood Country Club will not disappoint any golfer, of any skill level. The course is open for play and the new greens are exceptionally well conditioned. The friendly, helpful staff will make your experience at the club one that is pleasurable, world class and unforgettable.
The Greenwood Country Club boasts a state of the art Tennis Facility with 10 lighted Tennis Courts, 5 Hard Courts and 5 Clay Courts. The club also features a full service Tennis Shop with Men’s and Women’s Locker Room with lockers and showers. The shop offers all types of racquet repair and the latest in Racquets, Shoes and Bags. The shop is fully staffed and snacks and beverages are available for purchase.
